Hello, my name is Timothy Star. I am an astrologer and Reiki practitioner. I've been looking up into the starry worlds for as long as I can remember. My first word was naming the moon. As a child, I had a telescope, and a bed underneath a skylight, soaring with the moon and my other celestial friends with my wonder-filled imagination and longing.  I studied all I could about the greater universe as I grew into my teenage years, tracking any comets and theories that came across the horizon.

A local radio station carried a paranormal talk show at night, Coast to Coast Am with Art Bell.  This opened my mind to spiritual realities that I knew intuitively were real, that I didn’t hear about in church.

 

During my first moon node I started reading spiritual texts. A moon node is a good opening to our life path. I became aware of some aspects of astrology and by the time I was 21 with my Saturn square, I learned the basics of astrology quickly and easily which requires a certain aptitude which not many people have.

During my Saturn return, I dove deep into the art and science, really starting to build a relationship with the starry cosmos.  One of the most important ways I learned was journaling every day, looking first at how the current positions the planets are situated in relationship to themselves, the signs, houses and, and even the planetary hours, so I could get to know these wandering gods better. I have always loved writing as long as I can remember, and my favorite part of the day became the times when I would sit down to let the comic symphonies flow through my nervous system, playing me and being played.

As I grew into humility, I was able to let them flow through me better.

I started giving readings to my friends around this time and more deeply studying my own birth chart and the birth charts of my family, friends, and famous people to get a living experience of astrology. I joined a local astrology group in the area where I am from and began to build more connections there and online with other astrologers.

I learned a lot from many different streams, including esoteric Astrology in the Kabbalah, hellenistic astrology, modern western Astrology, and Vedic Astrology. During my Saturn return, I discovered Astrosophy, which is a wisdom of the stars pioneered by Rudolf Steiner, Elizabeth Vreede, Willi Sucher and others. I then moved around the country to different cities, learning from many spiritual teachers and sharing what I had been learning along the way. In 2020 I started to study Brian Gray’s system of Astrology. In 2022 I met him through taking his courses, and began to meet with him in ongoing in-person mentoring. He has been my most significant and important teacher and now colleague.
